Sugar control
A year of diabetes on one screen
A diabetes review asks the same questions every three months. Curogrid Diabetes answers them on one tab: where the HbA1c is going, what the home sugars and insulin are now, and which yearly checks are still due.
- See in one glance whether sugars are under control
- Show patients their HbA1c coming down
- Never miss a yearly eye, foot or kidney check
See everything it records
What the Sugar control tab shows
- HbA1c
- Every result over time, against the usual target of 7%, with the latest read out: “6.9%, at target, 11 Oct 2026”.
- Yearly checks
- Eyes, feet, kidneys (ACR), lipids and ECG, each with the day it was last done in the past year, or “Due”.
- Home sugar readings
- The latest visit's table: fasting and after food, day by day.
- Insulin now
- Each insulin with its units by time of day.
- Low sugar episodes
- None, mild or needed help, from the latest visit.
The HbA1c comes from the tests you order and their results. The phone app shows the same tab.

A diabetes patient's year through the clinic, step by step
1. At the desk
Registered with the diabetes history. Name, age and mobile number, then the diabetes type, the year it was found, whether on insulin, and the thyroid.
2. Before the doctor
Weight, blood pressure and a quick sugar. The sister records the vitals; a random sugar by glucometer is one tap to order.
3. The first visit
The whole picture. Home sugars, insulin, lows, the foot check, which yearly checks were done, diet and activity. HbA1c, urine ACR, lipids and TSH are one tap each.
4. Writing the prescription
Tablets and insulin. The diabetes and thyroid medicines are offered first, with “15 minutes before food” and “Under the skin (injection)” ready to pick. A red warning shows if the patient is allergic to what you write.
5. Before the patient leaves
The insulin chart and the next reviews. Print the insulin chart. Turn on “Book reviews” and Curogrid books four reviews three months apart, each labelled “Review 2 of 4”.
6. When the results come back
HbA1c on the chart. Each HbA1c result is drawn on the Sugar control tab against the target, beside the ones before it.
7. Through the year
The checks, done or due. The yearly checks show as done or due, and the dashboard lists the patients whose next step of the year of care is due this week.

Questions from diabetologists
Yes. Every HbA1c result from the tests you order is drawn over time on the patient's Sugar control tab, against the usual target of 7%, with the latest read out, such as “6.9%, at target”. The file's first card shows the same trend with the last fasting sugar under it.
Yes. The Sugar control tab lists eyes, feet, kidneys (ACR), lipids and ECG, each with the day it was last done in the past year, or “Due”. Start the year of diabetes care plan and Curogrid lays out HbA1c every three months and the yearly checks.
Yes. The visit has a table of home sugar readings by day (fasting, after food, bedtime) and a table of insulin by morning, afternoon and night, with low sugar episodes as none, mild or needed help.
Yes. The insulin chart prints from the visit on your letterhead: each insulin and its units for each time of day, with a line at the foot: “Take the units written for each time. Bring this chart and your sugar readings to every visit.”
Yes. Turn on “Book reviews” in the booking drawer. Curogrid books four reviews three months apart unless you change it, each labelled “Review 2 of 4”.
Yes. Registration asks about the thyroid, TSH and free T4 are one tap to order, levothyroxine and carbimazole are in the medicine names, and hypothyroidism, thyrotoxicosis, Hashimoto's and goitre are in the diagnosis search.
Yes. Diet and Lifestyle is a department of its own, with a dietitian consultation on the price list. Each person has their own login.
Yes, for Android and iPhone. The doctor sees the line, writes the review and opens a patient's Sugar control tab on the phone. Curogrid also runs in a web browser and as a Windows app.
Curogrid Plus is ₹420 a month and Pro is ₹999 a month, or ₹4,032 and ₹9,590 for a year. GST of 18% is added. The price is for the whole clinic, not for each doctor, and the Diabetes and endocrinology setup is included in both plans. Every clinic starts with 5 days of Pro, free.
Yes. Curogrid sends the patient a reminder before the appointment by WhatsApp and email, and can send the prescription, the bill and the receipt the same way. On Plus the WhatsApp messages go from the Curogrid number. On Pro they go from your clinic's own number.
Not yet. A patient's 14-digit ABHA number can be recorded on their file, where it is marked as not checked with ABDM. Curogrid does not yet verify an ABHA number, create one or share records through ABDM.
No. Curogrid needs an internet connection. The phone app tells you when it is offline and saves nothing until the connection is back, and on a computer a visit you are typing is kept on that computer until it can be saved. The screens are in English only.
Good to know
Registrations and rules for a diabetes clinic in India, what Curogrid does not do, and the lists it offers. The rules are a plain summary, not legal advice, checked on .
Only a doctor on a State Medical Register or the Indian Medical Register may practise medicine, and the registration number belongs on every prescription, certificate and receipt you sign. The NMC's 2023 conduct regulations were put on hold in August 2023, so the 2002 code of ethics still applies. In Curogrid: Each doctor's qualifications, registration number and council are kept on their staff profile and print under their name on every prescription.
In the states and union territories that have adopted the Act, a clinic cannot run without registering with the district registering authority, and national minimum standards are set for each kind of clinic. Other states have their own registration law. Your district health office will say which applies. In Curogrid: Curogrid does not register your clinic. Your clinic's name, address and contact numbers print on every bill and paper it makes.
A registered doctor may review a patient remotely, under the same standards as in person, with the name, qualification and registration number on the prescription. Some medicines may not be prescribed remotely at all. In Curogrid: A review is recorded and billed like any visit, and the prescription prints with your registration number. The call itself happens outside Curogrid.
Nutrition science is one of the professions the Act recognises, and its registration regulations were published in September 2026: a dietitian may practise only after registering. State councils are still starting. In Curogrid: Diet and Lifestyle is its own department, and the dietitian has their own sign-in and role.
A clinic that gives medicines to its own patients follows the drug rules. For Schedule H1 drugs, such as certain newer antibiotics and habit-forming medicines, each supply is written in a separate register with the prescriber, the patient, the medicine and the quantity, and the register is kept for three years. In Curogrid: When the medicine counter gives a medicine, it comes off the shelf count and goes on the patient's bill, so you can see who got what and when. Curogrid does not print a Schedule H1 register.
Explain what you will do, why, and its risks before you start, and keep the patient's agreement. For a child, a parent or guardian agrees. In Curogrid: The setup adds an “Examination and treatment plan” and a “Procedure or operation” consent form. The patient, a parent or guardian, or a relative signs with a finger on the screen, and the form is kept in the patient's file.
Insulin pen needles, lancets and the dressings from a diabetic foot are bio-medical waste. Separate waste where it is made, put sharps in a puncture-proof white translucent container, hand it to your area's common bio-medical waste facility, and train the staff who handle it. In Curogrid: Curogrid does not manage waste. Each foot dressing is a service on the bill, so what was done and when is on record.
A patient's record is personal data, and the clinic is responsible for it. Tell patients what you keep and why, keep it safe, use it for their care, and let a patient see or correct what you hold. The Rules were notified in November 2025 and most of their duties for clinics apply from May 2027. In Curogrid: Every member of the team has their own sign-in and role, so the records show who did what, and nobody shares a password.
Health care by a clinical establishment or an authorised medical practitioner is exempt from GST: the diagnosis, treatment or care of an illness, injury or pregnancy. Anything sold or done outside that, such as a cosmetic product, may be taxed. Ask your chartered accountant what applies to your clinic. In Curogrid: A GST rate is set on a service only if you give it one, so taxable and exempt services can sit on the same bill. The clinic's GSTIN is needed only if you are registered.
Home sugars are typed into the visit's table. Curogrid does not connect to a glucometer, an insulin pen or a continuous glucose monitor; a CGM report goes in the patient's file as a PDF.
The insulin doses are what you write. Curogrid has no dose calculator and never suggests one.
Diet and activity are written on the visit, with ready words such as “Rice reduced” and “Diet chart given”. Curogrid does not build or print a diet chart.
HbA1c is drawn against 7%, the usual target for most adults. A different target for one patient is written in the notes.
There is no patient app. Readings the patient brings on paper or WhatsApp are typed into the visit.
